Parental Involvement
The Importance of Parent Involvement
At Skyline Education Preschool, we believe that a child’s success begins with strong partnerships between home and school. When families are actively involved, students feel supported, motivated, and inspired to do their best. Children learn not only from their teachers, but also by watching the example their parents set each day.
Setting an Example
Young children thrive when they see their parents engaged in their education. Demonstrating interest—by checking in with teachers, responding to messages, and attending school events—teaches your child that learning is important and worth your time. Your involvement demonstrates to them how to be responsible, respectful, and committed to their own personal growth.
Communication Through Procare
We use the Procare App as our primary means of communication. It is important that parents:
- Respond to teacher messages promptly so we can work together to support your child.
- Check updates regularly for important reminders, announcements, and daily notes about your student’s progress.
Your responsiveness keeps us aligned as a team and ensures that no detail is missed in supporting your child.
Parent-Teacher Conferences
Parent-teacher conferences are a valuable opportunity to:
- Review your child’s progress and milestones.
- Ask questions and share insight about your child’s learning at home.
- Set goals together to support your child’s academic and social growth.
Attending conferences demonstrates to your child that school is a priority and helps us build a consistent support system between home and classroom.
Family & Community Events
At Skyline Preschool, we love to celebrate learning and community! Throughout the year, your family will be invited to special events such as:
- Grandparents Day
- Turkey Trot
- Breakfast with Santa
- Graduation
- Music Performances
- Field Day
These events are wonderful opportunities to be present, celebrate milestones, and create lasting memories with your child. They also strengthen the connection between school and family, reminding your child that education is joyful and shared with the people they love most.
