Supporting Learning from a Distance

Quality First AZ recently featured Skyline Preschools in Chandler in one of their blogs! The blog talks about using virtual platforms, ongoing communication and commentating children’s learning. It also lists other resources for learning at home.

During the past few months of the pandemic; Director, Natasha Gillen and teachers dropped off books and activities at the front door for their children’s families. Their goal has been and continues to be, a sense of consistency and routine for the children. She says “I often posted videos of stories or check-ins from inside the classroom at school to promote normalcy for the children. Daily, we were doing a quick lesson on colors, shapes, science, math or language and a story to add to the lesson.”
